The FIA Boca Raton Annual Conference
The 49th FIA Boca Conference was held from March 11 to 13 in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, drawing over 1,200 senior executives from global regulators, exchanges, futures firms, and technology providers. The attendees included Deputy Director-General How-Ming Hwang and Deputy Section Chief Chao-Bang Huang from the SFB, General Manager Chou Chien-Lung of the Taiwan Futures Exchange, and Secretary-General Kuei-Mao Wu of CNFA.
This year’s conference focused on key topics such as the outlook for listed derivatives markets, the development and competition among global exchanges, the impact of geopolitical tensions on commodity supply chains, applications of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, tokenization, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.
CNFA, along with the regulators and the Taiwan Futures Exchange, also attended a bilateral meeting with the National Futures Association (NFA) to discuss topics such as investor protection, practitioner education, product regulation, dispute resolution, and arbitration mechanisms.
