2025 Taipei International Futures Forum
The Taipei International Futures Forum, co-hosted by CNFA and TAIFEX, took place on October 17 at the Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei.
In alignment with FSC's “Taiwan Weeks” initiative, this year’s forum centered on global developments in derivatives markets and asset allocation and management strategies under the impact of reciprocal tariffs.
The event opened with remarks from Mr. How-Ming Hwang, Deputy Director-General of the Securities and Futures Bureau, FSC, Mr. Pin-Cheng Chen, Vice Chairman of CNFA, and Mr. Chao-Shun Yang, Senior Executive Vice President of TAIFEX, who each highlighted the importance of international collaboration and innovation in enhancing Taiwan’s position in the global derivatives landscape.
Industry leaders from CME Group, HKEX, Eurex, OSE, Nasdaq, and TAIFEX, together with domestic representatives from JKO Asset Management, SinoPac Futures Advisory, Capital Futures Management, and Yuanta Futures, shared their insights in two key sessions:
- Emerging Trends and Developments in the Global Derivatives
- Asset Allocation and Risk Management Strategies Amid Escalating Tariff Disputes
Through vibrant discussions and experience sharing, the forum provided a valuable platform for global and local participants to exchange views and explore future opportunities, empowering Taiwan’s futures industry to move forward with renewed momentum and vision.
Looking ahead, CNFA will continue to act as a bridge between the industry, regulators, and market participants, working hand in hand with FSC and TAIFEX to develop a Taiwan-featured asset management hub. The Association remains committed to advancing innovative risk management tools and delivering high-quality financial services to drive the sustainable growth of Taiwan’s futures market.
