On the evening of April 18, Chinese National Futures Association (CNFA) held its 30th Anniversary Celebration Banquet at the Regent Taipei. The event brought together around 150 distinguished guests from regulatory authorities, futures exchanges, and futures industry representatives to witness this important milestone for the futures industry.

A 30th anniversary commemorative film was played on site, and an exhibition of major events was set up to review the industry's growth trajectory over the past 30 years.

In her speech, Chairman Page Chen thanked the competent authorities and the industry for their support, reviewed the growth of the futures market from its inception to the present, and emphasized that talent cultivation will continue to be improved. Talent and commodities are the two key factors for the futures industry to promote Taiwan to become an Asian Asset Management Center.

In his speech, Financial Supervisory Commission Vice Chairman Yen-Liang Chen affirmed the association's active role in self-discipline,  policy coordination and compliance with laws and regulations. He also emphasized the key position of futures in the steady development of the market . Meanwhile, Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) Chairman Tzu-Hsin Wu pointed out that since the launch of TAIEX Futures in 1998—with an initial trading volume of 270,000 contracts—Taiwan’s futures market has seen significant growth, reaching a total trading volume of nearly 400 million contracts by 2024. He indicated that the market has strong potential and that its future development is highly promising.

The event also held a 30th anniversary launch ceremony to commend past chairmen and senior directors and supervisors, and received congratulations from guests from international exchanges. With the theme of "Grateful for Your Support and Looking Forward to a New Era", CNFA will continue aims to continue uniting efforts across the industry, paving the way for steady growth. It will cross the 30th anniversary and start a new journey, and work together with the industry to create a new era for the futures industry.
